The BAT-MAN (1939) Welcome to the year 1939. The New York World’s Fair was taking place. The rumblings of World War II were beginning in Europe. Movies like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind were coming to theatres across the country. And a new form of entertainment, The Comic Book, was introduced into the National consciousness showcasing a new and terrifying hero, a “Weird figure of the Night”, The BAT-MAN! This guy’s a hobbyist that creates some pretty amazingly detailed custom figures. His Catwoman is exceptional as well. I’ll post that in a followup post. (click for more images)
